Missed call leads to pregnancy in teen

A 15-year-old girl from Minneriya, Sri Lanka, delivered a stillborn baby and her boyfriend has been arrested, reported Mawbima.

The 28-year-old suspect had given a missed call to the teenager a year ago. She called back and that led to friendship between the two.

Later, the girl invited him over to her home with the consent of her parents.

Six months later, she complained of stomach pain and was taken to hospital where the family discovered she was pregnant.

The teenager delivered a stillborn baby.

The man has been arrested and will be produced in court.

Investigations continue.
