Mexico has sold only a quarter of the 6 million tickets of a symbolic raffle for a presidential plane, whose proceeds are due to be used for medical supplies during the Covid-19 pandemic, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Monday.

Ticket sales for the raffle scheduled for September 15 amount to 765.4 million pesos (34.7 million dollars) so far, the president said at a press conference near the plane at Mexico City airport, Deutsche press agency (dpa) reported.
