The Labour Market Regulatory Authority has launched a trial version of its Remote Virtual Inspection Service as part of its electronic services expansion plan, set to officially launch by year-end.

Aligned with government digitization policy and workflow re-engineering, this move, LMRA said, aims to save customers time and effort, enhancing satisfaction rates.

Nibras Talib, the CEO of LMRA, said the ongoing development offers customers' convenience by expediting processes efficiently and maintaining high quality. The introduction of the virtual inspection service is being piloted before its public launch.

Noura Issa Mubarak, Executive Vice President of the Legal Control and Protection Sector, detailed the virtual inspection service's goal of reducing the waiting period for inspection visits and lifting administrative violations by 60%. Over 200 virtual inspection visits were conducted during the trial period.

To utilise the virtual inspection service, employers must submit a request via the electronic support system "E-Support" for scheduling a virtual visit. The employer will receive a link via email for video communication, verifying compliance, and rectifying the facility's situation directly.

Employers need a camera-equipped device, a stable internet connection, and a Zoom programme to participate in the specified visit time.
