The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has launched a grace period of nine months for illegal workers for legalising their residence in Bahrain. The LMRA has advised those workers to correct their legal status of employment in various categories in line with the country's labour policies.

The authority stressed that the move was part of helping illegal workers with a humanitarian consideration while combating COVID 19 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
