TDT | Manama

KHK Media Group in partnership with The Daily Tribune, 4PM and the Ministry of Information Affairs, announced yesterday the launch of a short film competition. The contest invites entries from all clubs, organisations and creative citizens and residents over the age of 18 to participate.

The theme of the competition is “Distant Yet United”, and it aims to capture the spirit of closeness during Ramadan while keeping with social distancing guidelines through this period of change and adjustment. The contest is under the initiative of His Highness Shaikh Khaled Bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

This digital competition aims to inspire and motivate creators to capture these changing times whilst the country supports the government’s precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). There will be four award categories, including People’s Choice, Best Film, Best Acting Performance and Best Director. Entry is free and there is a cash pool prize for winners across the four categories. Registration opened yesterday while the last day to sign up is April 30. The final submission date of the short film is May 20. Registration is required to enter, and it is completely free of charge. For full registration details, terms and conditions, visit khkmediagroup.com.
