Manama : The Wireless Licensing, Frequency & Monitoring Directorate of the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) said it has completed all necessary preparations to ensure hassle-free communication during the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Bahrain International Circuit from 14 to 16 April.

The authority said it has stationed state-of-the-art monitoring devices and a mobile frequency control unit with a team of Bahraini experts to provide technical support.

Radio-communication frequency requests by the participating teams, broadcasting companies as well as by the accompanying events were processed successfully by the iGA.

Commenting, iGA Wireless Licensing, Frequency & Monitoring Director Hassan Mohamed Hassan said that the directorate managed the radio frequency spectrum of the Formula 1 event by coordinating around 460 temporary frequencies.

iGA said it also provides a bundle of visa services in cooperation with Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs via the national portal bahrain.bh. The services enable visitors and business sector individuals who wish to visit the Kingdom at any time - especially during the event’s season - to obtain the eVisa.
