His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Restructures NSSA Board of Directors

In a significant move to bolster Bahrain’s space science endeavors, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Order (5) of 2025, restructuring the Board of Directors of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA).

The newly appointed board will be chaired by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa. Joining him as members are distinguished individuals from various sectors:

• Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Hamad Al Khalifa
• The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB)
• The Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen)
• Ali Abdulaziz Janahi
• Amal Ahmed Al Abbasi
• Khalid Saleh Asheer

The term of the board members will last for four years, ensuring a strong leadership presence in the development and progress of Bahrain’s space initiatives.

The order, effective immediately, will be published in the Official Gazette.
