HH Shaikh Nasser emphasises sport’s ability to unify

Sports can contribute to achieving development and peace. This was emphasised yesterday by His Majesty the King’s Charity Work and Youth Affairs representative, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

HH Shaikh Nasser said that this has been embodied by the Kingdom on many occasions and through many initiatives in accordance with directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

In a statement marking the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, observed worldwide yesterday under the theme “Sport and Physical Activity During COVID-19”, HH Shaikh Nasser said that sports have always played a major role in making societies more cohesive and strong.
