Hamas militants have handed over four Israeli women hostages to the Red Cross as part of a swap on Saturday. The exchange occurred after the women were publicly paraded on stage at a square in Gaza, as reported by an AFP journalist.

The four women, all Israeli soldiers, were dressed in military fatigues and had been held captive in Gaza since October 7, 2023, when Hamas took them during their assault on Israel. The handover marks a significant moment in the ongoing conflict, with the hostages' release following months of captivity in the Palestinian territory.
