Global responsibilities towards Aleppo stressed

Manama : Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on "the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the great humanitarian tragedies that the people of Syria are facing, especially in the city of Aleppo, and work towards ending all kinds of violence and fighting."

"The Ministry affirms the Kingdom of Bahrain’s stance, stressing the importance of concerted international efforts, particularly by the influential countries in Syria, in order to end this tragedy, and to provide protection for civilians and ensure ways to deliver humanitarian aid," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The Ministry also calls for reaching a peaceful political solution based on the Geneva 1 Conference, so as to maintain the unity of the Syrian territory and the rest of the state institutions and ensure that the Syrian people live in security and stability," the statement also said.
