Manama : Five new schools, with advanced facilities, will be opened during the 2017-18 academic year in the governorates of the Kingdom, it was revealed yesterday.
“The schools for boys and girls will be environment-friendly and will be established in conformity with international standards,” said Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuami praising the directives of the leadership to establish ‘developed’ schools in the Kingdom.
The Minister said this while touring a number of newly built schools to follow up the preparations for the new academic year, which begins on September 10, 2017.
The newly constructed schools house new lighting technologies to save energy and preserve environment, soundproof classrooms, anti-slip vinyl flooring, elevators, as well as advanced electronic systems. Classrooms, laboratories, sport and multipurpose halls and offices were also constructed using eco-friendly technology.
