eGovt Excellence Award regn deadline extended

In response to public and entities’ demand, Organising Committee of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2019 held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology announced the extension of the registration deadline until March 6.

In light of receiving projects for the award via eGovernment official website, the committee highlighted the extension of the submission deadline considering the increasing demand and response of individuals as well as entities interested to register and obtain additional time to enable them to prepare registration requirements and submit their projects at their best.

The doors remain open for government entities to register in the following categories: ‘Best eGovernment Website’, ‘Best Government-to-Government eService (G2G)’, ‘Best Practice in Community eParticipation’, ‘Best eGovernment Integrated Services for Individuals or Businesses’ along with ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’. The Private Sector Awards include the newly added ‘Best eService’ award for this year’s edition; accompanied by the ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’. Moreover, the Citizens Awards category comprise ‘Best eConcept’.

During mid of March, Jury Committee members will be announced so as to evaluate the submitted applications. Winners will be awarded by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak AlKhalifa during the eGovernment Excellence Award 2019 ceremony that will be announced at a later stage.
