Deaf woman posts obscene images online to con men

A deaf Bahraini woman has appeared in the dock over accusations of posting obscene images online. The alleged woman is said to have uploaded pornographic materials on her social media accounts in order to dupe men pursuing prostitutes.

She is said to have conned many men, who deposited cash in her bank account in an effort to attract her to have sex with her.

She was reportedly adding the pictures with her bank account number, requesting “those who are seeking sex” to put money in her account and then message her.

She was arrested after police received a tip-off about her. The defendant was found to be also implicated in other fraud cases as well as using illegal drugs.

She was ordered yesterday by the High Criminal Court to remain in police custody for 15 days, although the woman appealed not guilty.
