Manama: A man and a woman have been jailed for three months each after being caught having sex inside a car.
The 21-year-old man and the 32-year-old woman reportedly got acquainted through smartphone app Tango. They fell in love and eventually dated inside a car.
Police officers on foot patrol spotted their car that was parked in an isolated area.
The officers approached the car to find the pair engaged in sexual activity.
“I knew him for 10 days through Tango app,” the woman told prosecutors.
“On the day of the date, I called him at 3am and we planned to meet, she said, “I went to meet him in my car and I took him out with me.”
“We went to a remote area and I stopped the car, then we went and sat on the back seat,” the woman added.
The court has released the defendants on BD100 bail each, pending the outcome of their appeal.
