Manama : Bahrain will extend its support to everything that preserves Egypt’s security and stability, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said, and added that “the security of Egypt is vital for Bahrain.”

The Premier commended the role played by Egypt in enhancing joint Arab action and defending the unity and stability of the Arab Nation, given its significant Arab and regional weight.

Prince Khalifa made the remarks during his meeting with the President of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF) and Chairman of the Manpower Committee at Egypt’s House of Representatives, Gebaly Mohammed Al Maraghy at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

HRH Premier praised the crucial role played by ETUF in supporting the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation at Arab and international gatherings, calling for strengthening cooperation between the two organisations.

Prince Khalifa lauded the deep-rooted trade union movement in Egypt, stressing the importance of exchanging visits between officials from the two countries.

The Prime Minister also valued highly the role played by the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain and commended their efforts in supporting the development march.

Meanwhile, Gebaly Al Maraghy extended appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his efforts to consolidate joint Arab action.

He also praised the advanced labour and trade union movement in the Kingdom, and hailed the gains of workers in Bahrain. He also lauded the care of the Bahraini leadership and people for the expatriate Egyptian community in the kingdom.

Al Maraghy affirmed the keenness of Egyptian Trade Union Federation to avail of Bahrain’s advanced labour legislation and laws.

The Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation’s (Al-Hurr) Executive Council Chairman, Yaqoob Yussef Mohammed, and Head of the Arab and International Relations Department, Ali Abdulla Al-Binali were also present.
