The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that its entire workforce consists of Bahraini nationals employed on permanent contracts.

This statement, made by Tourism Minister, Her Excellency Fatima Al Sairafi, in response to a parliamentary question from MP Basma Mubarak, highlights the ministry’s commitment to Bahraini talent.

Al Sairafi emphasised the ministry’s pride in and support for Bahraini capabilities, underscoring its active role in supporting national plans and initiatives aimed at developing the skills and abilities of Bahraini citizens.

The absence of any foreign employees within the Ministry, she stated, reflects a strong belief in the competence of Bahraini professionals and a commitment to providing them with opportunities to take on various roles and responsibilities.

The Minister further noted that all employees are engaged on permanent contracts.

Training

She also highlighted the ministry’s focus on employee training, in accordance with the Civil Service Law.

“All employees participate in at least 40 hours of annual training, encompassing theoretical and practical training.
