Bahrain, Saudi discuss media cooperation

Jeddah : Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi hailed the deep-rooted fraternal relations binding Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, stressing the solid historic ties between their leaders, as well as the unity of history, language, kinship and common destiny.

This came as he met Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Tarifi in Jeddah yesterday out of joint keenness on further strengthening bilateral relations, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

He congratulated Dr. Al-Tarifi on the inauguration of the new Saudi Press Agency (SPA) headquarters and the establishment of the General Commission for Culture under the royal directives to develop and restructure government departments. The two sides discussed media cooperation and focused particularly on exchanging human and technical expertise, news and information and joint production of programmes.
