The Bahrain Malayali Catholic community celebrated the Feast of Saint Sebastian with spiritual fervor and traditional grandeur at the Sacred Heart School grounds in Isa Town. The festivities commenced in the morning with the ceremonial hoisting of the flag, marking the beginning of the solemn occasion.

The High Mass was led by Chief Celebrant Reverend Father Francis Joseph Padavupurakkal, with approximately ten priests concelebrating the liturgical rites. Following the service, a vibrant procession reminiscent of traditional Kerala church festivals took place. The procession featured the rhythmic beats of "Chendamelam" and the display of colorful "Muthukkuda" (ornamental umbrellas), adding a traditional cultural flair to the event.

More than five thousand faithful attended the celebrations, which concluded with the distribution of "Nercha" (devotional offerings/food). The event was noted for the massive participation of the expatriate community, serving as a significant gathering that brought together the scents and memories of their homeland.
