The main objective of the conference is to provide the Arab Parliaments an opportunity where they could have first-hand interaction among themselves so that they might better understand each other and extend their cooperation for the joint Arab goals in future.

The AIPU is an Arab parliamentary organisation consisting of parliamentary groups representing Arab Parliaments working for the Arab solidarity and joint Arab actions since its inception in 1974.

Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Algeria, Comores, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Oman, Iraq, Qatar, Libya, Morocco and Yemen are the member countries.
