Yoga demonstration at Shri Krishna Hindu Temple

Manama: The Thattai (Bhatia) Hindu community kick-started the celebrations to mark International Yoga Day with a yoga demonstration at the Shri Krishna Hindu Temple by local yoga instructor Anil Kumar Singh.

The event will be held on June 20 at the THMC Auditorium in Shri Krishna Hindu Temple from 8:30pm onwards. The event will also include a cultural show, talk on the benefits of yoga and the demonstration of yoga postures.

Sharad Tripathi, Member of Standing Committee on India’s Ministry of External Affairs, will be the chief guest, while Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha will be the guest of honour.

Professor Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, President at the Pacific Academy of Higher Education & Research University and Coordinator of Yoga International, will share his insights on the benefits of Yoga.

Many Bahrainis as well as some other nationalities are expected to attend, the organisers said at a press conference yesterday.
