US Envoy Meets Families of Israeli Hostages in Tel Aviv

US envoy Steve Witkoff met with the families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza on Saturday, nearly 22 months after their loved ones were abducted during Hamas’s October 2023 attacks.

Videos shared online showed Witkoff arriving at a central Tel Aviv square, a site that has become a gathering place for relatives and supporters of the hostages. He was welcomed with applause and emotional pleas for help in securing their release.

The meeting comes as families continue to push for international efforts to bring the captives home, with many expressing hope that US involvement could accelerate negotiations.
