Tubli wastewater treatment plant expansion on track

Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Esam bin Abdullah Khalaf has stressed the significance of the project to expand the Tubli wastewater treatment plant.

The minister was assessing the progress of work on Phase Four of the expansion project that aims to accommodate the increased flow of wastewater, taking the average daily flow capacity of 200,000 m3/day to reach a full average daily flow capacity of 400,000 cubic meters/day.

The project includes a “collection room” for wastewater streams 21 meters underground and a pump 25.1 meters underground that will receive wastewater flows from the collection room.
