Manama: The General Directorate of Traffic held a number of training courses for traffic police officers and constables on smart traffic cameras.

The move comes as part of the Interior Ministry’s development strategy. It aimed at assisting traffic personnel to perform their duties as required, as well as raising the traffic safety level.

Sergeant Khalid Mohammed said the smart cameras chiefly contribute to road traffic control and decreasing traffic violations that cause traffic accidents, human casualties and damage to public and private property.
