The Thattai (Bhatia) Hindu Community in Bahrain organised Holi Rangotsav today at the Manama Shri Krishna Temple premises. Nepalese Welfare Society (NWS) also celebrated the Holi Festival at the temple in coordination with the Shri Krishna Mandir Trust. Holi, popularly known as the Festival of Colours, is celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month Phagun, which falls in March in the Gregorian calendar. It is celebrated with a lot of gaiety and enthusiasm by young and old alike, who smear coloured powder of different hues on each other. The festival signifies the arrival of spring and the victory of Good over Evil.
