Manama: Ramadan is nearing its end, and the last ten nights are considered the most important and sacred days for Muslims around the world. These nights are devoted to reflection, prayer, charity, and seeking closeness to Allah. Among them is Laylat al-Qadr, or the Night of Decree, believed to be better than a thousand months. It is a night of profound spiritual significance, where Muslims intensify their worship and devotion.
Although the current situation in Bahrain and the Gulf region is unstable due to ongoing events, people continue to attend congregational prayers and Taraweeh, following the wise guidance of the authorities to ensure everyone’s safety. These nights highlight the strength of spiritual steadfastness and commitment, showing how faith can bring comfort and stability even in challenging times.
Ramadan also emphasizes the importance of community and compassion. Giving to those in need, feeding the hungry, and supporting neighbors are central to the spirit of these nights. In times of uncertainty, the resilience of society is reflected in solidarity and mutual support.
The last ten nights offer an opportunity for increased prayer, supplication, and Qur’an reading, to strengthen faith, inspire gratitude, and encourage personal growth. Charity and helping others are also emphasized, reinforcing the link between spiritual devotion and meaningful action in society. These nights show that true devotion combines personal reflection, spiritual discipline, and active contribution to the community.
