Samsung has expanded its foldable smartphone portfolio with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, featuring a lighter design, improved durability and new Galaxy AI capabilities aimed at boosting productivity.

Powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon chipset, the Fold 8 offers a larger multitasking experience through its tablet-sized inner display while introducing advanced AI features for note-taking, translation, image editing and productivity. Samsung has also refined the hinge mechanism to reduce the visibility of the display crease and improve long-term durability.

The launch reinforces Samsung's leadership in the foldable smartphone market as competition intensifies from Chinese manufacturers and Google. Analysts believe foldable devices are steadily moving into the mainstream, driven by thinner designs, stronger hardware and practical AI features that appeal to both professionals and everyday users.
