Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Global Aviation Summit 2019, organised by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), has started in Riyadh.

Fifteen ministers of transport and 140 presidents and directors general of civil aviation authorities, high-level government representatives, and experts in international and regional organisations were present. Transport minister and Chairman of General Authority for Civil Aviation Board of Directors, Dr Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi expressed his pride in hosting and organising this event in co-operation with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Royal patronage of this conference came from the belief of the importance of air transport industry at the global level, in addition to the confidence of our leadership that the success of this industry can be achieved only with close co-operation between the countries of the world and air transport industry bodies, primarily ICAO, he observed.
