In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee, the REHC held its 11th race of the 2024-2025 season today at its racecourse in Raffa, Sakhir.
The event, marking the first racing evening of 2025, was attended by several members of the royal family, sponsors’ representatives, prominent figures, and horseracing enthusiasts. The evening featured strong competition and an exciting atmosphere.
The winners of the various cups were announced and presented by dignitaries.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa presented the Southern Governorate Cup to winning owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa received the Bahrain Jockey Academy Cup from Colin Rayner, the Technical Coach at the Bahrain Jockey Academy.
Mazin Al Mardhi, Partner at Charles Russell Speechlys, presented the Charles Russell Speechlys Cup to winning trainer Osama Hashim. Finally, Yusuf Osama Buheji, CEO of REHC, presented the REHC Cup to winning owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim.
