Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, received the Head of the Government of National Unity in Libya, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, who is currently on an official visit to the country.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and Libya, and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across various sectors in a manner that serves the interests of both nations.

The discussions also covered the latest regional developments, with both officials exchanging views on key political and security issues affecting the broader region.

The Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s firm position in support of Libya’s unity and the aspirations of its people for stability and development. He also reiterated Doha’s full backing of the Libyan political process, relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and all peaceful solutions aimed at preserving Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between Doha and Tripoli and underscores continued efforts to enhance cooperation and support stability in Libya.
