Doha: Qatar said its military intercepted a fresh missile attack targeting the Gulf nation, according to a statement from the Qatar Ministry of Defence.

Authorities confirmed that the missile was successfully intercepted by air defence systems, preventing any reported damage or casualties.

The attempted strike came shortly after Qatari officials issued an “elevated” security threat alert, warning of potential risks amid rising regional tensions.

Officials have not yet provided further details on the origin of the missile, but security forces remain on high alert as the situation continues to develop.
