Mr Tawfeeq Al Salehi, Director of the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has passed away after succumbing to his illness. A diabetic patient, Mr Al Salehi's health deteriorated while he was in London attending the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

He was admitted to a hospital in the UK before returning to Bahrain to continue his treatment. Unfortunately, he had been in intensive care for the past three weeks prior to his death. It's worth noting that Mr Al Salehi was a prominent Bahraini journalist with a rich experience in covering horse races and shows.
