Pirates Attack Bahraini Boat Near Northern Maritime Border

The Bahrain Coast Guard reported that a Bahraini vessel carrying a 43-year-old Bahraini seaman and two Asian crew members, aged 36 and 38, was targeted by pirates near the Kingdom’s northern maritime border.

According to the Coast Guard, upon receiving the report from the Main Operations Room, immediate measures were taken, and coordination with the relevant authorities was initiated. The pirates briefly abducted the crew into Iranian territorial waters and seized the vessel’s contents. Fortunately, the crew was returned to their boat three hours after the incident.

The Coast Guard confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation and that all necessary legal actions are being taken in coordination with competent authorities.
