Islamabad Pushes for Regional Peace

BEIJING: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing, China, on a one-day official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic coordination and discussing evolving regional developments.

Upon arrival, he was received by Chinese Foreign Ministry official Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi.

The visit comes shortly after a series of high-level meetings held in Islamabad with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt during the second round of consultations. Officials described those engagements as part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional dialogue at a critical time.

According to diplomatic sources, the discussions in Beijing are expected to focus on the evolving regional situation, promotion of peace and stability, and further strengthening bilateral cooperation across political, economic, and strategic domains.

The visit reflects Islamabad’s continued outreach to key regional and global partners as part of its broader diplomatic strategy to reinforce stability and deepen partnerships.
