The Ministry of Works officially opened the new Muharraq Ring Road yesterday. One of the Ministry’s largest strategic infrastructure projects, the Muharraq Ring Road was completed in just seven months, surpassing expectations by eight months. The 8.5-kilometer motorway, featuring four lanes in each direction, can now accommodate over 112,000 vehicles daily, greatly enhancing connectivity between Muharraq and the capital city.

The project, which involved over 1.5 million man-hours, was completed without any injuries. It also includes advanced drainage systems for sewage and treated water, along with a comprehensive stormwater management system.
