Minister of Interior Lt General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa attended the ministry’s celebrations to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Governors and senior government officials were present. The Minister appreciated the National Anti-drug Committee’s efforts and praised its achievement of the five-year strategic goals, mainly the reduction in the supply and demand of narcotics.
