Man jailed for drug peddling

Manama: The High Criminal Court has sentenced a Gulf national to 10 years in prison and BD5000 fine for drug peddling.

Two Bahraini nationals, received one year in prison each for consuming drugs while a second Gulf national was sentenced to five years behind the bars for selling a psychotropic drug.

The defendants were arrested in a series of sting operations carried out after the arrest of the second Gulf national who revealed the identity of his co-defendants to police.

Both of the Gulf citizens will be deported after they complete their jail time.
