Kuwait PM to visit Turkey

Kuwait's Ambassador in Ankara Ghassan Al Zawawi said that the visit of Prime Minister Shaikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Turkey was "important."

The September 13-16 visit will include the signature of cooperation agreements as well as discussing with Turkish officials a host of issues of mutual interest, he said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister's talks with his Turkish counterpart Benali Yildirim will focus on the agreements on training and standardisation unification, the ambassador added.

Al Zawawi said Kuwait and Turkey were bound to 45 agreements, four of which were signed during the visit by the Emir Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in March.
The agreements covered religious, tourism and military cooperation, as well as offering aid to Syrian refugees in Turkey.
