Kuwait City: Kuwaiti air defence systems are continuing to confront a wave of hostile drones that breached the country’s airspace, according to an official statement issued by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence.

Colonel Staff Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, the official spokesperson for Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence, said the air defence systems are actively responding to the unmanned aerial threats as part of ongoing efforts to secure the nation’s skies.

He noted that some civilian facilities sustained material damage after fragments and debris from intercepted drones fell during the interception operations.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army confirmed that air defence systems, along with fighter aircraft from the Kuwaiti Air Force, continue to engage hostile aerial targets as part of defensive measures aimed at protecting the country’s airspace.

Authorities also urged citizens and residents to adhere strictly to safety and security instructions issued by relevant authorities while the defensive operations remain ongoing.
