The Gulf Cooperation Council Joint Program Production Institution is preparing to launch the children’s series “Jammoul” on Saturday, as part of efforts to create modern Gulf content for children while keeping shared Gulf identity and values.

The institution’s Director General, Shaikh Mubarak Fahad Al Jaber Al Sabah, said “Jammoul” is more than a TV series. He described it as a cultural and creative project that could expand beyond television into other areas of children’s literature and content.

He said the series is a Gulf production in terms of its writing and identity. It draws on the culture, environment and shared values of the GCC countries and presents them to children through modern stories and entertainment.

“Jammoul” will be shown on Kuwait Television and Qatar Television, as well as on a number of other Gulf TV channels and digital platforms. The plan aims to help the series reach children and families across the Gulf.

Shaikh Mubarak said the institution wants “Jammoul” to create a new connection between children and Gulf content through characters, stories and a world that children can interact with and relate to.

He added that the project continues the institution’s long history of producing children’s content, while adapting it to changes in the media industry and the way younger generations consume content.

He said the next stage will see the institution’s productions appear more widely on Gulf TV channels and digital platforms, helping promote joint Gulf productions and present them to younger generations in a modern way.
