Iranian TV gloats over cop’s death

Manama : Iranian news channel, Ahl Al Bayt mocked the death of the policeman who was killed in the line of duty and portrayed the escaped inmates as heroes, according to Police Media Directorate which is monitoring the media response to the attack on the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre (Jau) killing a policeman and wounding another on Sunday.

“This is the proof of continued Iranian media incitement and Iran’s determination to interfere in the internal affairs of Bahrain,” the Police Media Directorate stated.

The channel gloated over the death of the fallen serviceman while performing his duty, describing the runaway terrorist elements as “champions seeking freedom,” it said
