His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, attended the 2017 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix qualifying session at the Yas Marina Circuit on November 25, 2017, following an invitation by Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that Bahrain and the UAE have become key features of the F1 calendar, noting that both countries have developed and showcased impeccable organisational skills over the years. His Royal Highness also attended a lunch banquet hosted by Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Upon arrival in the UAE, the Crown Prince was received by Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Crown Prince Court, Mohamed Al Moawdah, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Arab Emirates, and a number of senior officials. Separately, Prince Salman visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi and said that the museum’s artefacts and art represent an important cross-section of global thought, culture and expertise.
