Hilton Bahrain, a leading hospitality establishment committed to sustainability, announced the extension of its partnership with Peninsula Farms to further reduce food waste and support the local agricultural sector.

This collaboration is a part of Hilton's Green Ramadan initiative, in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Winnow, aimed at minimizing food wastage during the holy month of Ramadan.

By partnering with Peninsula Farms, a local agricultural company dedicated to advancing Bahrain's agricultural sector and promoting self-sustainability in local fresh produce, Hilton Bahrain aims to contribute to the nation's goals while making a positive impact on the community.

Through this extended partnership, Hilton Bahrain will donate its inedible food waste to Peninsula Farms, which will then convert it into compost.

This donation not only helps to minimize food waste and carbon emission but also supports the development of sustainable agricultural practices in Bahrain.

By diverting food waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable compost, Hilton Bahrain and Peninsula Farms are actively contributing to the circular economy and promoting a more sustainable future.

Tamer Farouk, General Manager of Hilton Bahrain, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "By redirecting our food waste to composting, we are taking proactive steps to reduce our environmental footprint and support the local agricultural sector.
