Recent media reports have suggested that Lindsay Lohan is studying Islam, but has chosen to keep a low profile about it. The Catholic-born actor, in an exclusive interview, told The Sun, "I'm a very spiritual person and I'm really open to learning.
Further, she commented on the picture of her carrying the Holy Quran that created a stir in America. She explained that America portrayed holding the Holy Quran in such a different way to what it actually is.
In a Page Six report, Lohan said, "I'm not done reading it. Do you know how long that would take? It takes so long".
Her rep was quoted saying, "Lindsay has always been very spiritual and is open to exploring all religions and beliefs. She is simply educating herself on other people's beliefs".
Although some sceptics say she's just out seeking attention and a reason to be in the media, she's not the first celebrity who has chosen to become Muslim; others include Janet Jackson, Cassius Clay aka boxer Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Cat Stevens.
