An Asian suspect who groped a woman twice in a local mall will spend one year behind bars.
The 25-year-old Pakistani national reportedly touched the woman's back twice while she was leaving cinema hall with her husband and children. The 30- year-old Arab victim told prosecutors that she initially thought it was an accident.
"But I have become certain he did it consciously when he did it again," the woman, who is living in Saudi, said.
"After the first touch I looked at him, and he apologised, but he repeated it and just kept his hand on my back. So I turned back and I slapped him," she added.
However, the accused denied any wrongdoing, and said, "I didn't mean to molest her. I touched her because it was a crowded place and I was in a hurry."
The accused reportedly tried to escape from the police station after he was arrested.
The High Criminal Court has ordered him to be deported after he completes his jail term.
