Galleria Mall & Arjun’s Chess Academy, in collaboration with the Bahrain Chess Federation, has organised the Galleria Mall Junior Rapid Chess Tournament (Under-15), marking the initiation of the chess events for the year 2024.
The unique feature of this tournament was its outdoor setting, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for the young chess enthusiasts.
The tournament, held at Galleria Mall Zinj, witnessed the participation of a total of 60 talented players, competing in two categories - FIDE Rated and Unrated Category.
The event aimed not only to foster a spirit of healthy competition but also to encourage young minds to embrace the strategic and intellectual aspects of the game.
The Prize Distribution Function, a memorable moment in the tournament, saw distinguished guests gracing the occasion.
AlBurshaid, Ebrahim, General Secretary of the Bahrain Chess Federation, and RK Ajesh, CEO of Edumpus (India), honored the event as chief guests.
Batool Mohammed Dadabhai, Director of Dadabhai Group of Companies, and Arjun Kakkadath, Director of Arjun’s Chess Academy, were also present, adding prestige to the ceremony.
