Keeping in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision to maintain a successful legislative experience within the Kingdom, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has praised the cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to benefit Bahraini citizens and to enhance the standards of services.

Shaikh Khalid received Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal for a meeting yesterday, where he also highlighted HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister’s keen interest in consolidating cooperation with the Council of Representatives. HRH the Premier considers the Council of Representatives as the house and voice of the people.

He regularly encourages ministers and officials, within their capacities, to communicate effectively and positively with the Council, Shaikh Khalid added. Shaikh Khalid noted that HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, consistently takes interest and interacts with the Council regarding local issues and topics.

The Speaker on her part, expressed the Council’s deep pride in the directives and unlimited support they receive from HM the King, to enhance cooperation and coordination between all branches to better serve the Kingdom, its citizens and various fields.

Fawzia pointed out that regular discussions and coordination between the two branches, especially considering the current global situation caused by COVID-19, is crucial. She further hailed the cooperation between the Council and the government, led by HRH the Premier and supported by HRH the Crown Prince, as well as the distinguished efforts exerted by Team Bahrain and the preventive measures taken to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
