Al Hilal Healthcare group organised a Defeat Diabetes Walkathon On Friday at Arad Dohat Park in association with Solidarity Bahrain and supported by Mega Mart marking.

Diabetic Awareness. More than 1000 people participated in the walk to promote awareness of Diabetes.

Dr Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of NHRA, was the event’s chief guest.

Other special guests were Jawad Mohammed - CEO of Solidarity Bahrain; Anil Nawani – General Manager at Babasons (mega mart); Jai Prakash Pandey - Chief Business Development Officer Solidarity Bahrain; Annie Jalando-on Louis – Charge d Affaires – Embassy of Philippines.

The walkathon ceremony was flagged off by Dr Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma- CEO of NHRA.

The CEO of Al Hilal Healthcare group Dr Sharath Chandran, Business Development Manager – Asif Mohammad and Finance Manager CA Sahal Jamaludheen, Muharraq Branch Head –Franco Francis were also present.

The total walking distance covered was 3 kilometers in the park at 7:30 am.

Certificate of participation, full body checkup coupons were given to all the participants on completing the walk.

Communities like Heart Bahrain, Everywhere Bahrain, etc. joined hands to support the great cause.

Dr Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma- CEO of NHRA, said: “Al Hilal hospital has been supporting the community in many events by doing preventive screenings and other supportive activities in the Kingdom, and I appreciate it.”

Jawad Mohammed - CEO of Solidarity Bahrain, also mentioned:” I hope this will create more awareness on Diabetes and lead to a healthy lifestyle among the people of Bahrain”.

Dr Sharath Chandran- CEO of Al-Hilal Health Care Group, also mentioned: “I am pleased that people prioritise their health, and Al Hilal will continue to create such platforms to spread awareness.
