Los Angeles: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is a world renowned celebrity as she has had straight-hit movies and awards in recent years.
Now that she’s making her Hollywood debut as the female lead in the Vin Diesel starrer,”XXX: The Return of Xander Cage”, a newspaper not knowing her, was unacceptable!
UK tabloid Daily Mail, known for its celebrity gossip, featured an article of Deepika Padukone being spotted on a dinner date with tennis star Novak Djokovic. The actress had first met the Serbian World number 1 at Wimbledon last year.
Nowhere in the article was a “Bajirao Mastani” actress identified and she was referred to as “a female companion” and “Leggy brunette”.
After having made such a goof-up, the UK tabloid is being bashed black-and–blue in the social media.
So, moral of the story, if you are a well known celebrity news tabloid, you ought to have a good knowledge of international celebrities!
