Okra, or popularly known as ‘lady’s finger’ is one wondrous vegetable!

It can reduce cholesterol, help in the case of diabetes, strengthen the immune system, prevent kidney diseases, alleviate asthma and reduce the amount of glucose absorbed by the food through the gastrointestinal tract.

This plant is incredibly nutritious, as it contains 30 calories, 21 milligrams of vitamin C, 3 grams of dietary fibre, 7.6 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams of protein, 0.1 grams of fat, around 80 micrograms of folate, and 60 milligrams of magnesium. Moreover, this plant can be consumed throughout the whole year, whether boiled, stewed, fried, or even in pickled form.

To cure cholesterol or diabetes, consuming okra water will give you remarkable results in naturally regulating blood sugar levels, and it will provide all other healthy effects of okra as well.

All you have to do is take 2 okra, cut its head and tail, chop them in 2-3 pieces and leave them to stand in a glass of water overnight. Next morning, drink the water half-an-hour before breakfast .
