Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that Commemoration Day on December 17, launched by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is a special and patriotic occasion to recall the loyalty and sacrifices of the fallen servicemen from the Bahrain Defense Force, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard.

These fallen heroes had performed their patriotic duties with devotion and dedication in Bahrain and abroad and sacrificed themselves for the sake of the nation and its security.

Commemoration Day is an eternal occasion during which we celebrate those whose souls illuminated the sky of Bahrain and scented its land with their pure bodies. They affirmed in an act that represents the highest levels of loyalty that they sacrificed themselves in order to raise the banner of Bahrain and make the Kingdom a safe oasis, he said.

On this special day, we remember those souls who sacrificed themselves while performing their national duty, and we stand in full respect and appreciation for all Bahrain’s fallen servicemen who have made the most selfless sacrifices for the sake of Bahrain since its establishment until today, and let this day continue to be a day of tribute and honour among all generations, he added.

HH Shaikh Nasser said that the sacrifices of the homeland's fallen servicemen will remain engraved in the memory of the nation and the conscience of the people of Bahrain.

Bahrain will remain faithful to the blood of its fallen servicemen, he added.
